Day by Day
Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport. Transfer direct to Tarangire (2 hours). Afternoon game drive through the baobab woodland. Tarangire is the best park in Tanzania for elephants — herds of 200–400 animals are common in the dry season.
Full Day Tarangire
A full day in Tarangire with no transit time. Morning game drive through the southern sector — lion prides in the open grasslands, leopards in the riverine forest, massive baobabs hosting barn owls and hornbills. Afternoon drive to the river loop where elephants drink at sunset.
Tarangire to the Serengeti
Drive north through the Rift Valley and into the Serengeti highlands. Cross into the national park at the Naabi Hill gate. First game drive en route to camp. The Serengeti ecosystem contains the largest land migration on earth — begin finding your bearings on the endless plains.
Full Day Serengeti — Seronera
Day in the Seronera Valley. This river system cuts through the heart of the Serengeti and supports the highest concentration of predators year-round. Morning drive for lions and cheetahs. Afternoon drive along the river for leopards and hippos. Picnic lunch in the park.
Serengeti — Migration Focus
Your guide briefs you the previous evening on migration positions. We drive to where the herds are — crossing points, calving grounds, or the central plains. The Serengeti does not disappoint on day 3. Afternoon drive with the setting sun behind you on the western corridor.
Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
Morning drive, then east to Ngorongoro (3 hours). Arrive at the rim in the afternoon. Views across the 19km caldera. Sundowner. Dinner at the rim lodge. Tomorrow morning you descend.
Ngorongoro Crater — Full Day
Dawn descent into the crater. All Big Five within a single caldera — lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and the rare black rhino. The Ngorongoro Crater floor is 260 km² of concentrated wildlife. Picnic lunch at the hippo pools. Afternoon drive for predator activity near the crater lake.
Ngorongoro to Lake Manyara
Morning on the crater rim. Descend into the Rift Valley to Lake Manyara National Park. Manyara is famous for its tree-climbing lions — unusual behaviour found almost nowhere else. The lake shores support thousands of flamingos and a large hippo pool at the park entrance.
Lake Manyara to Arusha — Tarangire Afternoon
Morning game drive in Manyara. Drive south to Tarangire for an afternoon game drive — elephants crossing the Tarangire River at dusk is one of the great wildlife sights in East Africa. Return to Arusha for final night.
Arusha and Departure
Final morning in Arusha. Optional cultural visit to a Maasai market or Arusha National Park (half day). Transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for departure. End of safari.
