Significantly. Two nights means you arrive tired, do one full day, and leave. Three nights gives you two full days to work the park — morning drives, midday quiet, late afternoon drives. You learn the landscape, find the lions' favourite trees, and the sightings compound. Most travellers who have done both say the extra night is the best upgrade available.

The migration is a year-round loop. The famous river crossings at the Mara River happen July–October. The calving season in the southern Serengeti (Ndutu plains) happens January–February — 8,000 calves born each day for 3 weeks, and every predator in the ecosystem arrives for the feast. There is no bad time for the Serengeti.

A tented camp is a permanent canvas structure with a real bed, en-suite bathroom, flush toilet, and hot shower — not a camping tent. They are quieter, more immersive, and located deeper in the parks away from the main roads. Lodges have solid walls and are typically at park boundaries. Safaris Tanzania uses permanent tented camps in the Serengeti.

The migration is always somewhere in the Serengeti ecosystem. Whether you see the Mara River crossings depends on your travel dates (July–October) and where the herds are that week. Your guide monitors movement daily. Safaris Tanzania cannot guarantee crossings — no one can — but we position you for the highest probability.
