Trip Highlights
“Three weeks with one operator who knew every park, every guide, every logistics detail. Kassim was available on WhatsApp from Kilimanjaro base camp to the last day on Zanzibar. Nothing went wrong. And if it had, I knew who to call.”
Your journey
Day by Day

Kilimanjaro — Lemosho Route (5 days)
Summit Africa's highest free-standing peak via the Lemosho Route — the highest success-rate route on the mountain. Day 1: Lemosho Glades gate to Mti Mkubwa (Forest Camp, 2,895m). Day 2: Shira Plateau (3,840m). Day 3: Lava Tower acclimatisation (4,600m) then descend to Barranco Camp (3,976m). Day 4: Barranco Wall to Karanga Camp (4,200m). Day 5: Summit night from Barafu Camp (4,673m) — Uhuru Peak at dawn (5,895m). Descent to Millennium Camp. Day 6: Descent to Mweka Gate. Includes all mountain crew: guide, assistant guide, cook, porters.

Descent and Arusha Rest
Final descent to Mweka Gate. Certificate ceremony. Transfer to Arusha (2 hours). Rest, shower, debriefs, a good meal. Your mountain crew goes home. Tomorrow, the plains.

Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Drive to Tarangire. Afternoon game drive. Your eyes readjust to the horizontal after six days looking up. Elephants in hundreds. Baobabs. Hornbills. The plains begin.

Full Day Tarangire
Two game drives. The Tarangire River is the centre of the dry-season park — animals come to drink along 40km of riverbank. Lions ambush prey at the bends. Leopards in the palms. All day here.

Tarangire to Serengeti
Drive north and west to the Serengeti (6 hours). Enter through the Naabi Hill gate and into the endless plains. Afternoon game drive. First night in the park.

Full Day Serengeti — Central
Seronera Valley full day. Big cats year-round. Migration if in season. Leopards in the riverine trees. Cheetahs hunting gazelle on the short grass plains.

Serengeti — Migration or Northern
Second full Serengeti day. Your guide positions you based on overnight movement reports. Mara River crossings July–October, calving at Ndutu January–February.

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
Morning drive, then east to the Ngorongoro rim. Sundowners with crater views. Tomorrow the Big Five.

Ngorongoro Crater — Full Day
Dawn descent into the crater. All Big Five within the 260 km² caldera. Picnic lunch at the hippo pools. Afternoon game drive. The black rhino population in Ngorongoro is the most reliably sighted in East Africa.

Lake Manyara National Park
Descend into the Rift Valley. Lake Manyara is famous for tree-climbing lions — a behaviour found in very few places on earth. The lake shores support thousands of flamingos. The forest at the park entrance is one of the best birding spots in northern Tanzania.

Lake Manyara to Tarangire
Morning game drive in Manyara. Drive south to Tarangire National Park — the elephant capital of Tanzania. Herds of 200-400 animals are common in the dry season. Afternoon drive in Tarangire. Sundowner under an ancient baobab.

Full Day Tarangire
A full day in Tarangire with no transit. The southern sector holds large prides and leopards in the riverine forest. The Tarangire River in the dry season is the only water for miles — every animal in the ecosystem passes through.

Arusha to Zanzibar
Morning flight from Kilimanjaro to Zanzibar (1 hour). Stone Town arrival — a UNESCO World Heritage site. Narrow Swahili alleyways, carved wooden doors, and the old spice market. Afternoon exploring the old town at your own pace.
Zanzibar Beach and Departure
Transfer to the north coast (Nungwi or Kendwa). White coral sand, turquoise water. Snorkelling or simply floating. Late afternoon transfer to Zanzibar Airport for international departure. End of trip.
