10-Day Diamond Luxury Tanzania
Our most exclusive safari. Private conservancies, private vehicle, NGORONGO Crater rim lodge, and Tanzania's finest luxury tented camps. The Diamond tier — built for those who want everything.
Trip Highlights
“We have travelled to 47 countries and this was the best safari experience we have ever had. The private conservancy, the NGORONGO rim lodge, and the guide's knowledge of animal behaviour — nothing compares. Safaris Tanzania's Diamond tier is in a different league.”
Your journey
Day by Day

Arusha to Tarangire — Elephant Country
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport. Your private guide meets you in the arrivals hall with cold towels and chilled water. Transfer by private vehicle to Tarangire National Park (2 hours). This park holds Tanzania's largest elephant population — herds of 300+ are common in the dry months. Afternoon game drive through the iconic baobab woodland. Tonight, your lodge sits on its own private concession bordering the park — exclusive, quiet, yours.

Full Day Tarangire — Private Vehicle, Private Rules
A full day with your private guide and vehicle — no sharing, no schedules but yours. Tarangire in the morning is extraordinary: cool air, lions hunting in the open grasslands, leopards dozing in riverine fig trees. Your guide knows every corner. After a gourmet picnic lunch in a secluded clearing, afternoon game drive on the Tarangire River — elephants crossing at sunset is the kind of scene that makes you understand why people fall in love with Africa.

Tarangire to Ngorongoro Highlands — Altitude and Acacias
After a leisurely breakfast, drive north through the Rift Valley floor to the Ngorongoro Highlands. The landscape changes dramatically — coffee terraces, cloud forest, and then the golden grasslands of the crater rim. Arrive at your rim lodge in time for lunch with a view across the 19km caldera. Afternoon at leisure: a guided forest walk, a massage, or simply sitting on your terrace watching the sun drop behind the crater wall.

Ngorongoro Crater — The World in a Bowl
Dawn descent into the crater with your private guide. You are on the floor of the world's largest intact caldera by 6:30am — before the other vehicles arrive. The 260km² crater floor holds one of Africa's highest concentrations of wildlife: lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and the rare black rhino. A full day with picnic lunch beside the hippo pools. Your guide's expertise transforms every sighting into something deeper — tracking signals, predator behaviour, the ecology that holds this ecosystem together.

Ngorongoro to the Serengeti — Enter the Infinite Plain
Morning at the crater rim — one last look across the caldera before driving north into the Serengeti. The road descends through the highlands and the landscape opens into the endless savannah the park is named for. Arrive at your luxury tented camp by midday. After lunch and a rest, afternoon game drive in the Seronera Valley — the most predator-dense area of the Serengeti. Lions, cheetahs on the open plains, and a resident leopard family that your guide has been tracking for years.

Serengeti — Private Conservancies, Zero Crowds
Today you leave the national park and enter a private conservancy bordering the Serengeti. No other vehicles — just your guide, your vehicle, and 50,000 acres of untouched wilderness. Walking safaris are possible here. Night game drives. Bush dinners under the stars. This is the Africa that safari dreams are made of — wild, quiet, and entirely yours.

Serengeti — The Migration and Beyond
The Great Wildebeest Migration moves through the Serengeti year-round — your guide positions you exactly where the herds are. Whether it's the dramatic river crossings of July–September or the calving grounds of January–February, today is shaped around the migration. Morning and afternoon game drives with a bush breakfast or sunset sundowner in the wild. Your camp's location changes seasonally to follow the herds — always in the right place at the right time.

Serengeti to Lake Manyara Highlands — Off the Grid
Fly from the Serengeti airstrip to Lake Manyara airstrip (40 minutes — a stunning aerial view of the Rift Valley). On the ground, transfer to your remote camp in the Lake Manyara highlands — an intimate, boutique property on a private estate. Afternoon visit to a nearby Hadzabe bushman community — one of the last hunter-gatherer societies in Africa, a profoundly human encounter that no wildlife list can capture.

Lake Manyara Highlands — Culture, Canopy, and Crater Views
Morning guided walk through the highland forest — Colobus monkeys in the canopy, endemic birds, medicinal plants. After breakfast, transfer to your final luxury lodge with direct views into Lake Manyara National Park and across the Rift Valley. Afternoon at the lodge: infinity pool overlooking the lake, a cooking class with the chef, or a guided mountain bike ride through local villages. Final evening safari dinner in the bush.

Lake Manyara to Arusha — Departure
A final early morning game drive into Lake Manyara National Park if you wish — the tree-climbing lions and flamingo-lined lake shore are a memorable last image. Return to the lodge for a leisurely breakfast, then transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport (2.5 hours) for your departure flight. End of your Diamond Safari.
