What is included in the safari price?

Private Land Cruiser, professional guide, all park fees, meals, mid-range accommodation, airport transfers, and bottled water. Excludes international flights and tips.

What is the best time for this safari?

June to October (dry season) offers the best game viewing. January-February brings the Serengeti calving season. Green season (April-May) offers lower prices with fewer crowds.

What is the Junior Ranger Program?

An educational experience woven into the safari. Kids receive field notebooks, binoculars, and animal checklists on Day 1. Your guide teaches tracking skills, animal behaviour, and conservation principles throughout. Kids keep field journals and receive a Junior Ranger certificate on the final night.

Are the drives too long for kids?

No. This itinerary has shorter drives (3-4 hours max) with mandatory midday breaks. We return to the lodge by 10-11am for lunch, swimming, and rest. Afternoon drives are 2-3 hours. Kids are never trapped in a vehicle all day.

What age is best for this safari?

Recommended age range is 6-16. Children aged 7-12 tend to have the most transformative experience. Teenagers appreciate the deeper ecology, conservation, and photography aspects. Children under 6 may find the drives tiring.

How much do kids pay?

Children aged 6-16 pay 50% of the adult rate. Family of 4 (2 adults + 2 kids) in shoulder season = $2,912/adult + $1,456/child = $8,736 total. Park fees are the same for adults and children 5+.

Can we add a Zanzibar beach extension?

Yes. Most families add 3-4 nights in Zanzibar after the safari. Cost: +$832 per adult, $416 per child for 3 nights including accommodation, meals, and airport transfers.
