Small group means a real safari vehicle
Most "group" safaris in Tanzania are actually minibus tours. A minibus with 20 guests cannot go off-road, cannot adjust its route when a leopard is spotted, and puts three people per row of seats. That is not a small group safari. That is a bus tour with a wildlife backdrop.
A Safaris Tanzania small group safari uses the same modified 4x4 Land Cruiser we use on every private safari — pop-top, individual bucket seats, power outlets, and refrigerator. We take a maximum of six guests. You have a window seat every game drive. When the guide hears radio news of a kill, the vehicle goes. Full stop.
We run scheduled small group departures from May to October. Solo travellers pay a single supplement and have their own seat throughout. Couples, families, and friends travelling together have the vehicle to themselves if they prefer.
