Tanzania Safari & Zanzibar
Serengeti and Ngorongoro, then a direct flight to Zanzibar Indian Ocean beaches. The most requested Tanzania combination. Wildlife and sand in one unforgettable trip.
Trip Highlights
“The transition from the Serengeti to Zanzibar in one flight was extraordinary. We went from watching lions hunt at dawn to swimming in the Indian Ocean by sunset. The safari was world-class and Zanzibar was the perfect way to decompress. Kassim handled both halves seamlessly.”
Your journey
Day by Day

Arusha to Serengeti National Park
Collected from Arusha or KIA. Drive to the Serengeti (5-6 hours via the Ngorongoro highlands) or fly direct if on Comfort/Luxury tier. First game drive en route to camp in the central Serengeti. The scale of the plains on arrival is always a moment of quiet impact.

Full Day Serengeti — Seronera Valley
Morning and afternoon drives in the Seronera Valley. The river corridor draws leopard, lion, and hippo year-round. Your guide will have tracked overnight movement reports. Seronera has the highest density of resident big cats of any area in the Serengeti.

Full Day Serengeti — Migration Positioning
Your guide repositions based on intel. July to October: drive north to the Mara River for wildebeest crossings. January to February: south to Ndutu calving grounds. Year-round: the Serengeti resident cheetah, wild dog territories, and the endless plains beyond Seronera.

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater Rim
Morning game drive. Drive east to Ngorongoro, climbing the highlands to the crater rim at 2,300m. Sundowners at the rim with views across the 19km caldera. Dinner at the rim lodge.

Full Day Ngorongoro Crater
Descend at dawn. All Big Five, 25,000 animals in an enclosed caldera. Approximately 30 endangered black rhino — this is your best chance to see rhino in Africa. Full day on the crater floor with picnic lunch. Ascend late afternoon.

Ngorongoro to Arusha to Zanzibar
Morning drive. Return to Arusha. Afternoon flight Arusha to Zanzibar (1 hour, direct). Transfer to your beach hotel on the east coast or Stone Town depending on preference. Arrive in time for sunset on the Indian Ocean.

Zanzibar — Stone Town & Spice Tour
Morning exploration of Stone Town UNESCO World Heritage site: the Arab Fort, House of Wonders, the old spice market, and the winding alleys of one of Africa finest historic towns. Afternoon spice farm tour — smell, taste, and identify the cloves, black pepper, vanilla, and cardamom that made Zanzibar the Spice Island. Sunset dhow cruise.

Zanzibar — Beach Day
Full rest day on the beach. The east coast beaches (Paje, Bwejuu, Matemwe) have some of the finest white sand in the Indian Ocean. Snorkelling, kayaking, or simply reading in a dhow-wood beach chair watching kite surfers. Dinner at a seafood restaurant on the beach.

Zanzibar — Snorkelling at Mnemba Atoll
Half-day snorkelling trip to Mnemba Atoll, one of the best diving spots in the western Indian Ocean. Sea turtles, reef fish in extraordinary colour. Optional scuba diving for certified divers. Afternoon at leisure on the beach.

Zanzibar — Dolphin Swimming (Optional) + Beach
Optional dawn dolphin swim at Kizimkazi on the south coast — bottlenose and spinner dolphins are regularly encountered. Return for a late breakfast. Afternoon beach at leisure. Last night dinner at a beachfront restaurant.

Zanzibar to Home
Morning at leisure. Transfer to Zanzibar Airport for international departure. Direct connections available to Nairobi, Doha, Dubai, Amsterdam, and London. Or extend your stay — the beaches here have a habit of extending itineraries.
